Congratulations to #MontgomeryCollege student Sarah Becerra on being named Outstanding Runner-up for the Board of Trustees Academic Excellence Award in Workforce Development and Continuing Education! 🎉🎓 An architectural major, Ms. Becerra is graduating with a 3.85 grade point average. She plans to transfer to the University of Maryland to pursue her bachelor's degree in architecture. Her long-term plans include earning a master’s degree in architecture and exploring urban design as a potential field of focus. She took two Montgomery College classes while she was a student at Clarksburg High School, but after graduating in 2018 her education was interrupted by financial hardship and the pandemic. Since she re-enrolled in 2022—she has been on the Dean’s List every semester. She earned a letter of recognition in sustainability while completing her studies.
