Congratulations to Ms. Maria E. Delgadillo Mena, on being named the #MontgomeryCollege Board of Trustees Academic Excellence Awardee for Liberal Arts and Education! 🎉🎓 A native of El Salvador, she came to the United States in 2022 and earned a GED before enrolling at MC. While at MC, she was a member of the Southern Maryland Leadership Program, leading to an internship with SERVPRO of Rockville, where she worked with the marketing team for two semesters. She participated in the Social Justice Inclusive Leadership Institute and the Digital Storytelling Internship at the Paul Peck Humanities Institute. She plans to attend the University of Maryland this fall studying psychology. Her future goal is to be a school counselor, helping students achieve their academic goals and advocating for mental health. #MCProud #StudentSuccess
