Ananda first shared her diagnosis in 2020, revealing she had been privately battling the disease since 2018. She chose a path of healing that aligned with her values-opting out of a mastectomy and instead focusing on homeopathic remedies, medication, radiation, rest, and nutrition. A beloved cultural icon, Ananda helped shape an era of music television, introducing countless fans to the videos and artists that defined a generation.
