She carried a pistol with her in which she would use on runaways that wanted to give up. She would point the pistol at them and tell them that they had two choices: continue running away with her or immediate death. Although her exact birthday in March is unknown as is for many enslaved people, today we honor her life, legacy, bravery, and her heroism. ✨#FemmeItForward ✨
