#TerryMcMillan’s bestseller, it followed four women played by
#AngelaBassett,
#WhitneyHouston,
#LorettaDevine, and
#LelaRochon - navigating love, heartbreak, and friendship.
The film’s soundtrack, produced by Kenneth
#Babyface Edmonds, was just as iconic and became one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time.
Nearly 30 years later Waiting to Exhale continues to be celebrated for it’s portrayal of Black women’s lives, friendships and journeys.
