The creator economy has absolutely exploded the last 5 years, and podcasting is no exception.
Although they exist in platforms alongside music, podcasts have rarely been given the same intentional creative treatment as an album. Due to the DIY nature of a LOT of podcasts on the market, that makes sense.
But as production value explodes and ad dollars pour in, we still havenāt seen a shift toward artistic creative⦠until recently.
This DIY-style of podcast branding is starting to shift - and thatās what I want to talk about.
In a world where titles are long and platforms already tell you what the show is, it just makes sense to create a cover that art-forward.
And these covers honestly function like book or album covers - they set the expectation for the kind of experience listeners will have. They give the podcast a visual brand that is then utilized on social and web - something thatās been largely overlooked for a while.
