Ten years ago yesterday Orange Is The New Black premiered. “It’s a streaming series,” my agent said to me. “From Netflix.” “The DVD company?” I asked, flummoxed. “And what do you mean, ‘streaming’?” “It’s from Jenji Kohan,” she responded, making my questions no longer important. Of course, netflix and ijnej would go on to create a breathtaking show, and they allowed me to play a small but important role in its early seasons, a role I will cherish always. A role I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to play. What an amazing cast, with some of the most incredible women I have ever come across, put together by the incomparable jennifer_euston_casting . What an amazing creative team, led by the genius ijnej with ttobie and so many amazing writers and directors for literally EVERY episode (Jodie Foster WHAT). What an amazing book by piperkerman.
