A very memorable senior year for Sam Gugliuzza ’25 included a great honor when he was awarded a Friends of the BPO Young Musicians’ Scholarship. Gugliuzza, who will study Violin Performance as well as pre-dental studies at the University of Michigan, received a $2,000 scholarship from the Friends of the BPO volunteer group. Gugliuzza, of North Tonawanda, was among those honored at Kleinhans Music Hall during this year’s BPO Celebration of Music Education, which included a celebratory reception and concert in honor of the contributions and achievements of Western New York’s music educators. He and other student honorees were also selected to perform at last month’s Friends of the BPO Play it Forward luncheon at the Twentieth Century Club.
