MEMPHIS IS NOW OFFICIALLY “ENTREPRENEURSHIP CITY”
Where grit meets growth, and small ideas turn into big moves.
Mayor Paul Young just announced the launch of “Entrepreneurship City” at the Small Business Loan Expo, alongside EDGE (Economic Development Growth Engine for Memphis & Shelby County).
This new campaign is all about supporting the real ones — the barbers, chefs, stylists, artists, content creators, contractors, and teen entrepreneurs that make Memphis what it is.
Since EDGE launched their Small Business Loan Program:
120+ Memphis businesses funded
$2.7M+ in forgivable loans handed out
Now they taking it a step further:
• Launching youth programs like the Kidpreneur Broadcast Series
• Youth-made products will be gifted to companies relocating to Memphis
• The goal: Build a city that celebrates and invests in local entrepreneurship at every level
