I have noticed with increasing frequency that men online are incredibly threatened by the fact that I know a lot about a certain historical topic. What’s funny about that is in the world of history and museums, I have experienced a little to kno misogyny. In fact, older and often times wiser men have been some of my biggest champions. It seems to be that the misogyny is coming not from the people who care the most about keeping history alive, but rather young men who have spent too much much time on social media.
