Last week, our Community Action Program team met with seniors at Encore on Farmer to help them apply for utility assistance through LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program).
What’s LIHEAP?
It’s a program that helps low-income households—especially seniors—keep the lights and A/C on during Arizona’s brutal summers. It can cover past-due utility bills, prevent shutoffs, and ease financial strain.
But applying can be tough.
No car. No internet. No printer. Just too many barriers.
So this time, we brought the help to them.
📑 20 seniors received one-on-one support to submit their paperwork—many said they couldn’t have done it without TCAA.
This isn’t just about bills.
It’s about dignity, connection, and peace of mind—especially for those living on fixed incomes.
This is what thriving looks like.
One team. One visit. One morning of hope.
