For visual communication major Elise Trail-Johnson, #LutherCollege has been a launchpad for creativity, leadership, and meaningful connection—both on campus and around the world. “In the summer of 2023, I represented Luther through the Norwegian Peace Scholars Program. I took courses at the University of Oslo, swam in the fjord after class, and explored both the city and natural areas—all of which helped me grow personally and academically.” Elise has truly done it all—singing in Nordic Choir, co-hosting a KWLC radio show all four years, serving as sustainability representative on Student Senate, and taking on leadership roles in the Endeavor Together pre-orientation program. From mentoring new students to facilitating dialogue and belonging, she’s made a lasting impact across campus. What’s next?
