The Omaha Fire Department will resume recovery operations Wednesday morning for two 18-year-olds and an 11-year-old girl feared to be drowned in the Missouri River.
Rescue operations at Omaha's N.P. Dodge Park began Tuesday shortly after 6 a.m., according to Battalion Chief Coby Warner of the Omaha Fire Department. First responders were called to the park after someone saw the teens struggling in the swift moving river.
"We are continuing the search this morning with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Bennington Fire Department and Council Bluffs Fire Department," Werner said Wednesday. "We may reach out to Sarpy County (Sheriff's Office) and Waterloo (Fire Department) as well."
