On This Day fifteen years ago: "Not bad for a number two driver." 😤
Three races on from Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel's Turkish Grand Prix clash, Red Bull found themselves embroiled in controversy and bad vibes again at the British Grand Prix. 😬 After Vettel's new front wing failed late on in practice, Red Bull took the decision to fit his RB6 with Webber's new wing instead, leaving the Australian visibly furious.
In the end, pole-sitter Vettel suffered a puncture on the first lap, and Webber fought off Lewis Hamilton for the win, celebrating with THAT infamous radio message. In the post-race press conference, Webber declared, "I would never have signed a contract for next year if I believed that was the way going forward." 🫣
