Multnomah County has piled onto a wave of local governments opposing Trump administration threats to cut federal funding due to immigration and diversity, equity and inclusion policies. The county stands to lose around $126 million in federal dollars if President Donald Trump’s executive orders targeting those initiatives fully come into effect, officials said Thursday. That doesn’t include any cuts to federal Medicaid health benefits as a result of Trump’s sweeping policy bill, signed into law July 4.
