In the middle of the night, a driver of a red sedan pulls into a parking lot of a Portland cannabis store. As the car turns into the parking lot, it heads straight into a front-facing window of the business, sending shards of glass flying across the entrance, security camera footage shows. The driver of the red car reverses and then drives into the storefront a second time while another car approaches. Two masked individuals spring out of this car and dash into the business, grabbing cannabis products and stuffing them into backpacks. About three minutes later, they get back in the car and drive away. This wasn’t the first smash-and-grab burglary of a Portland cannabis business, and law enforcement officials said at a press conference Thursday they’re worried it won’t be the last.
