Plant research duo 🌿 Bijay Subedi’s research digs into how plants, insect pests, beneficial microbes, and natural predators interact, especially when crops are under stress. Erin Gall has been another key person in this research as she is helping collect data on insects and plants during essential experiments. “This research supports the development of smarter, more sustainable ways to manage pests and strengthen agricultural systems. It’s exciting to uncover patterns that could help improve how we grow food or manage pests in smarter ways,” said Bijay Erin said, “Bijay has been a very patient mentor to me for the past year. He always takes time to explain why we’re doing each task in the lab or field. It has helped me immensely to understand research and how to approach things scientifically.” Bijay and Erin are both part of the Kersch-Becker Lab. Bijay is a 3rd Year Ph.D. in Entomology and Erin is a junior in Plant Science.
