Weekend getaway to Sidemen 🍃 So many people come all the way to Bali and don’t see this side of the island! They just see the party coast, the tourist towns & traps but miss out on the heart of Bali - I’m telling you guys, you’re missing out on the best parts! These road trips are one of my favourite things to do here - just taking off to the jungle for a night or two. Bali road trips are something I’ve never been able to recreate anywhere else we’ve been. Some countries have come close, but still fall short. Driving past endless rice fields, with the most incredible views, volcanos popping into view left & right, tiny warungs where you get the tastiest lunch, navigating the dogs the sleep in the middle of the road for some reason, and waving back at kids shouting and waving at you when you drive past.
