The Dancing House is one of the most unique attractions you can see in Prague! Architects Vlado Milunić and Frank O. Gehry took inspiration from the dance skills of a famous film couple when designing the project. The glass tower represents Ginger Rogers, and the stone tower represents her partner, Fred Astaire, and is topped with imaginary hair. Some refer to the building as Ginger and Fred for this reason.
Construction of the Dancing House began in 1992 and was completed in 1996. The building that stood here previously was destroyed in the United States’ bombing of Prague on February 14th, 1945.
Inside the Dancing House is a hotel, art gallery, and luxury restaurant, making this a must-see attraction for your next visit to Prague!
