The @pinoy501st had the honor of inducting Manny Jacinto as an Honorary Member of the 501st Legion during Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025. With support from the Honorary Membership Committee, the Japanese Garrison, and Filipino members of the Legion based in the U.S., the induction came to life on a truly international stage. . Manny Jacinto’s involvement in the Disney+ series The Acolyte, as the mysterious antagonist Qimir/The Stranger, became a celebrated event for Filipinos, Asians, and other fans as well. For his Filipino fans, it brought a sense of being represented in this huge galactic sandbox where we can all play too. . Several members of the Philippine Garrison traveled to Japan—many attending Celebration for the first time—to be part of this proud moment.
