#SummerXMoody: This utcommstudies student is spending his summer in Atlanta, Georgia! Austinite Ben Jones is working at Anthrex, a medical device company that leads in product innovation and medical education. Ben is working at Arthrex this summer because of his interest in the medical device industry. He has been applying the skills he learned at #TEXASMoody in real-world scenarios. The writing skills and note-taking strategies he acquired have been vital for understanding various procedures and sales contracts. “I’ve learned so much about how the human body functions, but also how clear, constant communication and strong interpersonal skills are necessary to be successful in the medical world.” His favorite part so far this summer has been the operating rooms, where he has gotten a firsthand look at the extensive work that goes into surgery. “Getting to be present during the procedure itself after shadowing how the preparation process worked felt very rewarding.” Ben is enjoying ...
