Kappa Alpha Psi’s Marc Lamont Hill Speaks Out After On-Stage Attack
On MLK Day 2024, Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, author, activist, and proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., was pepper sprayed during a live event in Philly—just steps from his bookstore, Uncle Bobbie’s.
The attacker, a woman suffering from severe mental health issues, had stalked and vandalized Hill’s store weeks prior. During a Q&A, she approached the mic, made erratic claims about conspiracies involving the CIA and the President, then unexpectedly sprayed Hill in the face.
Hill later shared the moment on The Joe Budden Podcast, saying, “I thought she had a gun. I didn’t know her. Never met her.” He added, “You can hear me say on the video, ‘Don’t call the police.’ I walk it like I talk it.”
