Kicking off this week is Gallaudet’s Summer Bridge Program for our incoming freshmen interested in science, technology, and mathematics! Hosted by the school of Science, Technology, Accessibility, Mathematics and Public Health (STAMP), our students work alongside different STEM faculty members exploring and developing their own research projects.
Here Dr. Caroline Solomon, professor of Biology, leads an off campus trip to the Aquatics Resources Education Center in Anacostia Park. Her research in estuarine science, especially in the areas of nutrient and microbial dynamics, allowed students a hands-on experience looking deeper into the pollution impacting our local waterways and ecosystems.
