This past week, student-athletes alongside me traveled to Icayuco, a village in Mexico, to build a basketball court for the community. This week was not only special for them, but it was special for us as well. It was an honor and a privilege to be the first international group welcomed into the community. We were smoothly immersed in a culture that demonstrated relentless love and treated us like family. I am inundated with love from this community and overjoyed to have the opportunity to give back through my sport which has given me so much.
