Last month, members put their footy skills to the test in a double-header match against DeafFootballVictoria⁣ ⁣ The day gave members the opportunity to learn more about deaf culture, Auslan, and the unique challenges deaf people face in public and legal systems.⁣ ⁣ Members from across Victoria Police - Disability Liaison Officers, proactive policing staff and the Priority and Safer Communities Division - joined in to make ensured that everyone, including our deaf fans and spectators, felt included in the full matchday experience.⁣ ⁣ Both games were full of action.⁣ 🏆 VPFC women's team took the win 8.6.54 defeating DFV 2.6.18⁣ 🏉 The men’s team came back from a 40-point deficit to win in the last 90 seconds: VPFC 10.5.65 def DFV 8.13.61⁣ ⁣ A huge thank you to every player, volunteers and organiser who made the day such a success 🫶⁣ ⁣ #CommunityPolicing #DisabilityLiaisonOfficers #CommunitySafety #DeafFootballVictoria #victoriapolice
