What do you focus on as an artist as far as making money? Faiyaz: “Merch. Merch goes crazy. From tour merch to vinyl sales. It’s the physical merchandise as an indie artist that a lot of money comes from. It’s crazy because as a music fan growing up, I was never a big on buying merch. I didn’t even have the mind frame to think that was even important going into it. So I missed the mark and missed out on a lot of money I could’ve made early on because of not dropping merch when I was supposed to.
