Here is my story about diving into the mental game. I had my worst season in 2013. I was putting way too much pressure on myself and not taking accountability. Immediately after that season, I started to meet with sports psychologist, Ken Ravizza. In the midst of our first session, he walked me through my first meditation and I couldn’t help but to smile afterwards. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders and I had never felt more present. I continued to work with Ken, seeing him every two weeks for a couple hours at a time. My new outlook and process led to a swarm of wonderful memories with several more teams over the next 6 years. Focusing on my mental performance was the best decision I ever made. .
