OVER-COACHING HITTERS HAS BECOME RAMPANT at every level of baseball👎🏽 Coaches recommending random drills they see on the internet without having any context as to why the player they saw was even doing the drill or if their player even has the same issue as the other hitter was having who was actually doing the drill🤷🏻‍♂️ Coaches trying to force players to set up a certain way and try and produce certain moves for no good reason other than “they like the way it looks” with zero regard of how much more brain power it will require their hitter to execute the move than a different human🤔 You hear coaches constantly say “it doesn’t matter how you set up, it only matters where you are at contact…” which couldn’t be further from the truth. Because how we set up determines exactly how quickly/efficiently we can get to contact🤷🏻‍♂️ In my opinion if I don’t take the time to identify how my athlete is most balanced and coordinated in their set up… and just start throwing random drills at ...
