SO MANY YOUNG HITTERS ARE MISINTERPRETING THIS SIMPLE OLD SCHOOL CUE OF “STAYING BACK”🤷🏻‍♂️ Btw, its super easy to identify who is taking it too literally also lol. Basically anytime you see a young hitter that looks like he is actively fighting against himself to not go even a millimeter forward during his swing… and the swing ends up looking super weird, forced, and deliberate☹️ As a coach its important to realize that there is a big difference between having a forward move and “lunging”. We obviously don’t want any of our hitters to be falling forward and “crashing” into the baseball at impact or colliding with it.
