“Many nights around driftwood fires hearing my Grandad share stories developed my own value for people & adventures. Growing up in Washington’s Cascades with parents who loved the outdoors, backpacking, hunting, and fishing led me to pursue ways I could see the world and live out my own stories - going to BUD/S & trying for the SEAL Teams, alpine climbing, skiing, and surfing in the PNW. These days, analog photography provides an honest outlet to creatively share my own stories in part as a legacy to my Grandad… film brings a little risk and rawness which I enjoy.“ - words and photography by joelbarger_ made on
