The Bell Museum is Minnesota’s official natural history museum known for its lifelike dioramas, showcasing Minnesota’s diverse ecosystems and wildlife.
What started as a way to document the state’s natural resources, over time it evolved into a public museum, opening its first dedicated building on the University of MN’s Minneapolis campus in 1940.
In 2018, the museum moved to a new, state-of-the-art facility in St. Paul, incorporating an expanded collection including the MacMillan Planetarium.
Today, it continues to promote science education and research, blending natural history with astronomy and environmental science.
