"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. At #WillardInterContinental, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King this Juneteenth by showcasing our Federal Suite named in his honor. King was a key leader of the 1963 March on Washington, where he delivered his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. It was in the lobby of the Willard InterContinental Washington, D.C., that Dr. King put the finishing touches on this historic address. The suite pays tribute to his legacy with portraits of the civil rights leader and a mural that nods to his home state of Georgia and its beloved state fruit, the Georgia peach. 📷: @gregdohlerphotos
