We recently caught up with Sam Marcus, Dexter Southfield Class of 2024 and rising sophomore at Clemson University. As he prepares for his second year of college, Sam credits his time at Dexter for helping him transition to the next chapter in his academic journey. “Dexter Southfield has been one of the reasons for my success at Clemson,” says Sam, a financial management major who traveled to Europe as part of Clemson’s Dixon Global Policy Scholars program. “The relationships I built with the faculty have improved my social skills and helped me gain the ability to hold conversations at a professional level. In addition, the community has made me confident and courageous enough to take risks and put myself out there. Clemson has been nothing short of extraordinary so far, but Dexter has given me the lessons and mindset to succeed, and shown me that anything is possible if I put my mind to it.”
