When the United States takes on the world in this summer’s World Rowing Under-19 Championships, two members of the men’s eight will be 2025 Canisius High School graduates. Isaiah Aljuwani ’25 of Kenmore and Liam Feeney ’25 of West Seneca, who both helped CHS to unprecedented heights this spring by leading the Crusaders to multiple national championships, were both selected for the U.S. eight that will compete in the worlds on Aug. 6-9 in Trakai, Lithuania. Both Crusaders – who will both row for Boston University – were picked for the eight following their participation in USRowing’s Under-19 National Team Selection Camp in Chula Vista, California. The camp concluded Thursday. Jamie Hamp ’11, a North Tonawanda native, is one of two assistants on the men’s coaching staff for the USRowing Under-19 team as a Men’s Boat Coach.
