Sabrina Simader, the first Kenyan World Cup alpine ski racer, announced her retirement ahead of the season at age 27. Simader was denied the chance to compete at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games despite qualification. Her dream was cut short by broken promises and a lack of financial support from her home nation. “After eleven formative and heart-filling years in international skiing, it is time for me to gratefully close a chapter,” she wrote. We wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors and thank you for what you brought to the sport! 🔗 A link in bio to read more about her retirement and her legacy that she has carved into alpine history. 📸GEPA #worldcup #retirement #alpineskiracing
