In 2021 Zack Fox told his friend Kenny Beats that the only way he’d perform at his Hard Summer Festival set would be if he let Zack sing Bedingfield’s most important contribution to the all-time pop-music songbook, “Unwritten."⁠ ⁠ Kenny allowed it and the crowd loved it. The video went viral and caught the attention of Bedingfield herself and sparked a major resurgence of the song across TikTok. We knew we had to bring these two together.⁠ ⁠ In a 2021 Pigeons & Planes interview, we were able to take part in this historic conversation. During the video call, Fox shared with Bedingfield the influence she had on him, alongside artists like Paramore and My Chemical Romance, and explored the parallels between songwriting and comedy.
