Yet another Kendrick Lamar song has been used to get millions of views on some pretty funny TikTok’s lately… have you guys seen this trend? Thoughts? 😭
This actually isn’t the first time that “United in Grief,” the first track on “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” went viral on TikTok. When the album first came out in 2022, I remember seeing many people using Kendrick’s line “I been goin through somethin… 1855 days” to make videos of them growing up since the last time Kendrick dropped an album.
This time, it’s Kendrick’s iconic line “I grieve different” contrasting the chaotic drum pattern that’s inspiring people to make videos. Usually, the video will introduce something to be happy about, then confess something bad about that very same thing.
I always wonder how the artist feels in scenarios like these, but what do you think? Is the trend funny or corny? 🤔
