Our hearts go out to the communities of central Texas and all the impacted families following the devastating flooding on July 4th. What should have been a time of joy and unity has been tragically overshadowed by this horrific event.
As Louisianians, we are no strangers to the tragedies natural disasters impose on a community. It is because of this gut-wrenching familiarity that we feel compelled to issue a call to action.
To assist those affected, a Flood Relief Fund has been established by the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. This fund will support nonprofit organizations, first responder agencies, and local governments actively involved in response, relief, and recovery efforts for those impacted.
