The 80-story 3 World Trade Center is known for being a "supertall skyscraper," - reaching an altitude of 1,079 feet (329m)! Ten years ago, it was just starting to climb towards #supertall superstardom. Hundreds of 15-ton steel beams—fabricated in Columbia, South Carolina—were delivered to 175 Greenwich Street. Each was hoisted more than 125 feet into the air to the 8th floor, marking the first time that steel and concrete rose simultaneously at the site as the tower began to grow. The steel skeleton would eventually top out on the 80th floor at the end of 2016 and 3 WTC officially opened its doors in 2018.
