There was great joy across 🇦🇺 Australia and 🇳🇿 New Zealand this time in July 2023 as both co-host nations of the greatest-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup began their respective campaigns with wins on home soil. 👏 I have wonderful memories of this competition, which was beautifully organised and showcased the true potential of women’s football to the world, setting records and leaving a lasting positive legacy. ⚽❤️ I visited every host city – Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin and Hamilton – and attended over 20 matches throughout the tournament.
