A Journey Through Song: Lyrics Across Time Workshop: Students will compare music from specific eras (ex. the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s), focusing on how lyrics embody the social and political climates of the historical period. By learning to write their own song lyrics, students will reflect on the cultural dynamics of their own lived experiences.
