Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads are the reason why I'm a metal musician. From the very first time I heard the end solos in "Mr. Crowley" in 7th grade, I knew what I wanted to do with my life.
Since then, Ozzy's impact on my life has been immeasurable. From the "Ozzy" license plate on my first car, to the countless times I dyed my hair like him, to jamming the "Crazy Train" solo on the electric violin with Mark Wood from Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Ozzy has been one of my biggest musical heroes since my childhood. I've been fortunate enough to meet him twice and see him, both as a solo artist and with Black Sabbath, multiple times.
Ozzy's one of the biggest reasons I play the music I do today and why my guitar of choice is a Jackson Rhoads. None of us metal bands would exist without him.
Thank you, Ozzy, for everything. R.I.P. and godspeed. May Randy await you with open arms.šÆšš¤ God Bless Ozzy Osbourne.
