TEXAS A&M CINEMATIC RECAP, PART 2/3 • • • at this point, we’re 3.5 minutes into the full recap. with the series tied at 1-1, there’s really no need to set the scene. so i wanted to jump straight into the action and build the adversity within seconds. in addition, i knew the last 2.5 innings were going to need more time, so i wanted to be relatively brief in recapping the first 4.5 innings. right away, a&m gets the first two runners on and their two best hitters were coming up to the plate. i wanted to get across, “how in the world is florida going to get out of this jam??” well, thanks to two AMAZING plays on defense, florida shut down the star-studded top 4 in the a&m lineup and get out of the first inning unscathed. it was a huge turning point early in the game and set the table for a MAMMOTH solo home run to start off the second inning. it was a back and forth game for those first 4.5 innings, so it was important to get that across to the viewer. florida scores, ...
