The biggest risks I’ve taken have always started with a conversation like this, sitting still long enough to dream out loud. Years ago, I didn’t know what life after baseball would look like. I just knew I didn’t want to live safe. So I started speaking the scary goals out loud…with the person who’s believed in me since day one. And now we keep doing it with new dreams, new risks, but the same faith. If it feels too big or too uncertain, or even too uncomfortable, honestly I’ve learned that might be the very thing you’re supposed to chase.
