There are a lot of outdoor activities I love… but climbing? Climbing will always be my number one. So THIS—getting my kiddo on a climb for the first time—is hands down one of my biggest parenting highlights so far. Riley has always loved climbing anything and everything, and lately she’s been tackling stuff at the playground that honestly felt more advanced than an easy rock climb. So I figured… maybe we go for it? She just turned two last month, so yeah—it’s WAY earlier than I expected. But she’s always been an adventurous little human. We picked up a kids harness from a local shop and headed up the pass to a mellow slab wall. It was easy enough for one of us to climb without ropes while the other belayed. We helped her through a few sections, but she confidently worked her way up most of the route… and then asked to go again. Yep.
