In recent months, we’ve said some tough goodbyes to three of our loyal four-legged colleagues: Archer, Couta and Mauser.
Archer 🐾
Named after nmfcofficial's Shinboner of the Century, Archer lived up to his name. On his first job, he tracked straight to the offender's front door. He proudly represented Victoria Police in NSW and New Zealand trials, and won the Dog Arrest Award in 2015, At 13, he was still the happiest with a food bowl or Kong in his mouth. Our thoughts are with Leading Senior Constable Michelle and partner Dee.
Couta 🐾
Gentle to the core (except with stainless-steel water buckets, which never stood a chance around him - not even 5 minutes), Couta was all heart and floof. He qualified at two and spent his life loving hard and playing harder. He will be deeply missed by his handler and family.
Mauser 🐾
From riding in the Bearcat to helping track, locate, and arrest a murder suspect, Mauser never missed a job - or chance for a pat. A loyal partner to Leading...
