The Dawgs are excited to announce the next trio of player signings for the upcoming 2023 WCBL season. Dawgs fans, please give a warm welcome to some familiar faces - Brendan Luther (SS, Bellevue University), Ryan McFarland (RHP, Campbellsville University) and Connor Crowson (INF, Bossier Parish CC). Dawgs fans will be familiar with all three players as Luther, McFarland and Crowson were all key pieces in bringing the championship back to Okotoks in 2022! Brendan Luther - SS, Bellevue University A spark plug for the Dawgs all season long in 2022, Luther set the tone for every game with his hard-nosed brand of baseball. During the regular season, Luther hit .357 with 66 hits including 15 doubles and 2 triples while driving in 33 RBIs & scoring 49 runs. Luther would go on to be named the WCBL Playoffs MVP, hitting .448 with 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
