Bad news for butterflies, whooping cranes, rusty patched bumblebees and more: The epagov announced plans to reapprove the dangerous, drift-prone pesticide dicamba. Federal courts have already twice banned dicamba due to widespread damage to crops. In fact, the Department of Agriculture estimates that up to 15 million acres of soybeans were damaged by dicamba drift in 2018 alone. Dozens of imperiled species are also threatened by this problematic poison. Yet the Trump administration's EPA wants to reapprove its widespread use.
