Radiation treatment was incredibly difficult for Elias to endure. He experienced intense and persistent pain in his back and ribs throughout the process, and unfortunately, the weeks that followed did not bring the relief we had hoped for. Despite increasing his pain medications, we’ve struggled to manage the sudden and severe bursts of discomfort he continues to experience. It has only been very recently that we’ve seen even a slight improvement in his pain levels. Elias’s appetite remains quite limited—he’ll only eat a very small selection of foods, and even those are a challenge to keep consistent. We do our best to accommodate his preferences and needs, but it’s a daily effort. In the midst of everything, we try to create meaningful memories together as a family. However, the weight of stress, exhaustion, and uncertainty can often make even simple outings feel overwhelming.
