Two St. X Tigers are making a global impact as Fulbright Scholars! Ethan Harned ’21 (Notre Dame ’25) earned a Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship and will spend the 2025–2026 academic year in India conducting public health research in pediatric hospice and palliative care. He’ll partner with programs to understand the implementation of innovative models of care for vulnerable adolescents and young adults. Greyson Wintergerst ’21 ( Vanderbilt University '25) will spend the 2025–26 academic year as a Fulbright U.S. Student Researcher at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO) in Madrid. In addition to completing his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt in both computer science and math, Greyson also minored in Spanish. He will use long-read DNA sequencing and computational methods to study chromosomal instability in cancer. His research could help unlock future precision therapies.
